Sberbank of Russia is the largest bank of the Russian Federation and CIS. Its assets compile more than one fourth of the country banking system (27%) and the share in the banking capital comes to 26% (as of 1.06.2010). According to the data from The Banker magazine (as of 1.07.2010), Sberbank ranked 43 by the size of the fixed capital (first level capital) among the largest banks in the world.

Established in 1841, Sberbank of Russia today is a modern universal bank meeting the requirements of various customer groups in a wide range of banking services. Sberbank commands the largest part in the deposit market being the main creditor of the Russian economy.

Sberbank of Russia has a unique branch network and nowadays it includes 18 territory banks and more than 19 100 branches all over the country. There are bank subsidiaries of Sberbak of Russia in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Belarus.
